Rev. David Kaupu, Rev. Kaleo Patterson, Kordell Kekoa and later Sherman Thompson shared the ministry of Kaumakapili under the title of Kahu Kahikolu. During this pastorship, the restoration of the sanctuary took place over a period of nine years.
