Rev. Anderson Oliver Forbes was born in Kaawaloa in 1833 to Rev. Cochran and Rebecca Forbes of the 5th missionary company. Rev. Forbes served as kahu of Kaumakapili for three years, and afterwards was a professor at Lahainaluna Seminary until 1874.
